We are looking for one CGSB NDT UT MT PT Technician, Level 2, to join our team. The main location would be at our site in Nanticoke (Stelco), but sometime there will have travel to other fields. Unionized work environment. The wage can vary based on Union classification of number and types of certificates
**Responsibilities**
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect defects
- Establish NDT techniques and calibration standards
- Calibrate, test and interpret ultrasonic equipment
- Set up, calibrate, operate and interpret magnetic particle, eddy current, liquid penetrant, acoustic emission, and infrared thermographic equipment
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
- Instruct and supervise trainees
- Maintain test result reports
- Maintain detailed repair, inspection and certification records and reports
- Provide hands-on technical support for equipment setup, operation and troubleshooting.
- Develop processes and procedures.
- Enforce and abide by the requirements of safe operation and personal safety using required Personal Protective Equipment and safe work practices
- Mentor and train coworkers assigned to you through on-the-job training in safe work practices, technical skills and compliance with company policies
- Gather and escalate client concerns to leadership when needed

**Education**
- College/CEGEP
- or equivalent experience
**Experience**
- two years to less than three years in Non-Destructive testing
- Knowledge of NDT equipment and ability to effectively perform assigned NDT inspections.
- Technical background in NDT methods and procedures and knowledge of NDT equipment
**Credentials**
- CGSB Level 2 Certification in UT MT PT
- Other certificates will be considered an asset

Pay: $50.21-$53.46 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
