Weekly schedule Monday - Friday
Hours/Day 3:30 pm - 10:30 pm

**Position summary**

We are looking for an on-call Custodian who will support staff, students and the community
through the performance of building sanitation and janitorial work.

**The position**
- Performs general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, waxing

floors, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies daily
- Ensures all tables, desks are wiped and disinfected daily
- Empties trash receptacles, disposes trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bags trash for
- proper disposal daily
- Janitorial services such as cleaning of washroom and kitchen including but not limited to
- unclogging of sinks and toilets daily
- Disinfecting surfaces, including desktops and shelves daily
- Ensures that company facilities are kept in good repair and working order
- Use and maintenance of heavy-duty cleaning equipment, such as floor buffers and commercial
- vacuums
- Keeping an inventory of cleaning supplies and ordering them as needed
- Assists with the renovation/remodeling of the building; repairs, plasters and drywalls; paints
- building structures
- May assist or perform snow removal activities and minor maintenance, such as replacing light

bulbs, adjusting furniture, or other similar activities
- Compliance to all WHIMIS procedures to ensure a safe workplace
- Reports all deficiencies to Manager/Supervisor***
- Performs other miscellaneous tasks outside custodial duties to support SES staff***
**What you bring**
- Previous cleaning experience is an asset
- Knowledge of WHIMS procedures and different cleaning supplies and tools an asset
- Multitasking and organizational skills to keep track of various responsibilities
- Ability to carry out tasks in a timely fashion with mínimal supervision
- Flexibility to work with team members or individually
- The ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day

Physical Requirements: Ability to frequently lift or carry up to 25 lbs and occasionally lift or
carry up to 50 lbs**
