J.D. Barnes Limited is currently looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated JUNIOR OLS/ARTICLING STUDENT in our MARKHAM location.

This position involves the overseeing and coordinator of projects related to cadastral and construction surveys and the duties required of an Ontario Land Surveyor.

**Responsibilities**:

- Estimate project costs, prepare job estimates
- Supervise and motivate field and office staff
- Liaise with clients
- Meet timelines and oversee small to medium sized projects from inception to completion

**Qualifications**
- Bachelors Degree in Surveying
- Possess OLS/CLS designation or in process
- Excellent communication skills for meeting and corresponding with clients
- Must be detail oriented
- Understanding of CAD systems (preferably Microstation), Total Station and Data Collector technology
- Comprehensive understanding of calculating and survey methodology
- Working knowledge of Global Positioning Systems (GPS) would be an asset
- Ability to learn new field and office surveying technologies

There may be occasions when out-of-town travel will be required, depending on the demands of the project.
