Hydrogeological Technician

**HYDROGEOLOGICAL TECHNICIAN**
(Full-time, contract position, to start)

Oakridge Environmental Ltd. (ORE) has an immediate opening for a junior level Hydrogeological Technician.

To access project sites (which can be anywhere in Ontario), you will need to have a reliable vehicle, a clean driving record, be physically fit and not be afraid of getting dirty or wet.
- a post secondary degree/diploma with some practical experience
- familiar with groundwater and surface water monitoring equipment
- familiar with the Unified Soils Classification System
- knowledge of conducting groundwater monitoring and compliance assessments
- strong computer skills with the ability to build and maintain Geographic Information System databases
- knowledge of the Ontario Water Resources Act, Environmental Protection Act, Provincial Policy
Statement and local Official Plans/By-Laws
- physically fit and have the ability to lift over 50 lbs
- enjoys working outdoors
- able to work in harsh conditions (e.g., rain, snow, mud, insects)
- possesses strong report writing skills
AutoCAD, Adobe products, Corel products, etc.)
- able and willing to perform clerical and general office duties
- able to work independent with mínimal supervision (i.e., a self-starter)
