**Position Overview**:
Tegan's Consulting is seeking a Field Health and Safety Inspector/Advisor to join our team in Spruce Grove, Edmonton and surrounding area. This position involves conducting safety inspections, providing expert advice, and ensuring that health and safety regulations are followed at various client worksites. As a key member of our team, you will work in the field, providing hands-on support to our clients, identifying safety risks, and recommending solutions to mitigate hazards. **Responsibilities**
- Conduct field inspections of client worksites, ensuring compliance with provincial, federal, and industry-specific health and safety regulations.
- Identify potential hazards and provide immediate corrective action recommendations to clients.
- Advise clients on developing and maintaining health and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and safety assessments.
- Deliver health and safety training, orientations, and toolbox talks as required.
- Monitor and assess safety equipment and practices, offering guidance on improvement.
- Work closely with clients to understand their specific safety challenges and provide customize solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Alberta Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Promote a safety-first culture across client teams and within the workplace.
- Provide support during audits and regulatory inspections.

**Experience**
- Proven experience in health and safety roles, preferably in a field-based position within Alberta’s industries (construction, oil and gas, manufacturing, etc.).
- Certification in Health and Safety (such as CRSP, NCSO, or similar) is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of Alberta OHS regulations, safety management systems, and risk management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and advise diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to identify hazards and recommend practical solutions.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple inspections and projects simultaneously.
- Experience with safety auditing, incident investigations, and reporting.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to client worksites across Alberta.
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
- Proven ability to work independently with mínimal supervision, as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment
