PM Contracting is a Family-owned medium sized business looking to employ apprentice or pre-apprentice labourers who would like to specialize in the commercial and institutional construction field.
We are seeking individuals who have a desire to learn, can take initiative, follow directions well, have a health and safety mindset. Compensation is dependent on knowledge and skill level. _For your first 6 months you will be in Listowel then will transfer to sites within the Region of Waterloo._

**Responsibilities and skills of this position include**:
- Responsible and safe use of all equipment
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings in an asset
- Self motivated individual with ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management.
- Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches.
- Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.
- Good language and math literacy skills
**Required**:
- Valid driver’s license
- One or more years of experience in construction
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Good stamina and strength
- Oral and written communication
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Punctuality
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
**Salary**: $21.00-$26.00 per hour
