**Job Summary**:
In this role you will be reporting to the Director, Performance & Analytics. The Financial Business Analyst will support the Performance Management and Analytics function by working closely with other team members across all workstreams at BCIB and strategic stakeholders. You will meet the needs of the business for strategic and operational forecasting by analyzing business performance information, operational plans and schedules, and by building business models to run hypothetical scenarios. You will calibrate and revise these models over time by comparing forecast targets with actual results.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Develop business models for forecasting BCIB’s operational costs, funding model and the value created through the CBA initiative and inform decision making.
- Design and update procedures that include assumptions documentation, source identification and analytical commentary of updated results.
- Support strategic decision-making to the Board of Directors by providing essential financial and non-financial information that enables them to fulfill their performance oversight.
- Manage the planning and utilization of data, analytics and performance measurement services and align with business objectives.
- Support Director, Performance and Development to establish or capture KPI’s and metrics and develop reports as required.
- Support quarterly and annual planning activities.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related analytical preferred.
- 3 years of financial modeling and/ or statistical analysis experience
- Experience working with relational database, data management and business intelligence is an asset.
- Experience designing models facilitated through assumptions-based planning.
- CPA and /or CFA is an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

- Ability to think logically, analyse and interpret information and solve problems.
- To explain and work collaboratively to develop solutions to solve business problems.
- Participate fully as a team member, work effectively with teammates, and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Ability to explain business, logic and analytical models in simple terms using collaborative tools and materials.
- Ability to maintain precision and attention to detail to produce accurate materials and add value to the organization.
- Advanced in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (Vllokup, Pivot Tables, Data Tables and Macros)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

**Supervisory Responsibilities**:

- This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

**Work Schedule**:
Full time 37.5 hours per week
