Recreational Soccer Coach

The Nepean Hotspurs Soccer Club is seeking mature, committed and self-motivated individuals to fill the positions of Recreational Coach in our Summer Let the Kids Play Program.

You’ll be responsible for delivering our recreational program, which is aligned with Canada Soccer’s Long-Term Player Development Model, to children and youth aged 4-14 years. Hours of work are evenings Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and/or Thursday between 6:00-8:00pm and/or Saturday mornings between 9:00am-12:00pm; the number of days and hours you work will be dependent on how many teams you are selected to coach.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help with set up and take down of program equipment
- Instruct and lead activities and small-sided games based on the supplied curriculum
- Create a fun and inclusive environment for all players
- Ensure the safety and supervision of all players
- Participate in a coach orientation & education session
- Additional tasks as assigned

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience coaching soccer
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable working with children and youth
- A self-motivated team player with effective interpersonal skills
- Time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and manage priorities
- Must commit to the full 12-week program, including the end of season Festival (Saturday, August 20)
- Complete a valid Vulnerable Sector Police Records Check

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Contract length: 12 weeks
Part-time hours: 4 per week

**Salary**: $15.50-$20.00 per hour
