We are looking for that Machine Shop Manager who has a strong background in machining, programming, with competency working on complex components for Mining and Oil & Gas industries, without compromising quality. This position will be reporting into the VP of Operations and will be responsible for overseeing all facets related to machining, within the facility; directing, mobilizing, developing, training, coaching, optimizing efficiency and promoting a positive and engaged work environment.
CNC Industries will also cover the cost of your eventual relocation with cost of temporary housing if needed.

Key Responsibilities:

- At all times, the Machinist will be responsible for ensuring the Health & Safety of themselves, and customers in an environmentally friendly manner
- Promote and enhance a positive employee relations environment, including efforts to continuously improve employee engagement and teamwork
- Establish and sustain processes of regular target setting, performance appraisal, growth and development of employees, training, and consistent communication to the entire group to create a motivating environment and maximize contributions.

- Responsible for implementing most efficient practices for people, machines, and materials, including information & energy in creating parts and services.
- Support in increasing workflow productivity - continuously monitoring employee performance and identifying areas of improvement
- Implement production planning and control systems for operations to achieve strategic financial and profitability expectations and customer service levels for on-time delivery, quality and cost
- Ensure production goals are set and met - resolving any production challenges that may arise
- Monitor production and quality standards, as per customer requirements
- Create and optimize manufacturing and resource schedules
- Study and implement material flow, planning and sequence of operations
- Collaborate and coordinate with all departments within business to work towards the strategic goal of the business
- Ensure staffing goals are met
- Responsible for defining and procuring appropriate supplies and materials for production based on specific jobs: understand tooling, maintaining strong business relationship with vendors and bringing them in to assess efficiency on the machine if necessary.
- Follow all applicable company policies, guiding principles, procedures, and programs, including process mapping, support processes and HSE requirement, shop inspections and investigations.
- Monitor the correction process of deficiencies are completed in a timely manner
- Conduct weekly and monthly meetings - production and HSE updates for machining, operations, and staffing
- Keep abreast of new technologies that can be integrated in the production process
- Ensure compliance with all HSE programs - being a HSE champion, ensuring policies are adhered to, including bringing new ideas to the table.

Profile and

**Required Skills**:

- Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma or experience
- Speaking the Vietnamese language is a must
- Minimum ten (10) years Machining, Manufacturing, Programming and Supervisory experience
- Experience using CNC machines, turning & milling - DMG’s, Mazaks and Weiler
- Programming experience with Esprit
- Experience with Robotics - using ABB an asset
- Experience using Probing software - using Renishaw equipment an asset
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Sigma Six and /or other Continual Improvement experience an asset
- Extensive knowledge of tooling, calibrated equipment, part loading & clamping and machine maintenance
- Must be able read and interpret complex manufacturing drawings
