**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Deputy Chief/Manager of Logistics, the Paramedic Services Logistics Superintendent will manage, coordinate, and oversee most aspects of Paramedic Services Logistics, including procurement of uniforms, linen, medications, medical supplies, station furnishings and construction designs, as well as provide support to vehicle maintenance and procurement issues.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Manages and coordinates a team of Logistic Officers in the daily distribution of all medical supplies, equipment, linens, medications, and controlled substances to 15 stations, 4 hospitals and over 50 frontline paramedic vehicles.
- Collaborates regularly with Supply Chain Management and Finance to ensure the procurement of all necessary supplies, equipment, medications, and uniforms including the preparation of, and participation in procurement processes and evaluations.
- Ensures compliance with the Ministry of Health Land Ambulance Certification Standards with regards to all supplies, equipment, and preventative maintenance, including ongoing maintenance and warranty issues throughout the entire lifespan from procurement to disposal.
- Ensures medications inventory is secured and managed in accordance with Health Canada requirements and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
- Monitors/approves Logistics Officers attendance, schedules, and performance.
- Ensures ongoing Health and Safety of staff and proper training in the safe operation of vehicles and equipment.
- Routinely coordinates with Energy, Fleet & Facilities regarding paramedic station and related facilities maintenance and repair requirements.
- Provides service lead representation and collaboration with Energy, Fleet and Facilities, Architects and Contractors in the design, oversight and construction of paramedic response stations, and logístical support facilities and explores energy savings/green facility initiatives including furniture and IT requirements.

**Additional Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Supports and collaborates closely with the Paramedic Fleet Coordinator on vehicle-related matters and vehicle equipment, including procurement of vehicles, equipment, and the maintenance, installation and replacement of patient equipment and technology.
- Monitors the industry to make recommendations based on research regarding changes to vehicle and equipment design features, supplies, and paramedic station facilities.
- Collaborate in the management of capital and operating budgets specific to all paramedic service equipment and supplies, and collaborate closely with Energy Fleet & Facilities on all station requirements, including new construction builds.
- Ensures timely and ongoing communications with all stakeholders and vendors, managing any concerns.
- Liaises and collaborates with other Paramedic Program areas to support their needs related to supplies, equipment, events, product research and uniforms.
- Provides service representation on the Provincial Paramedic Logistics Working Group and divisional Uniform and Equipment Advisory Committee.
- Responsible for the preparation, retention and submission of all equipment and facility-related information for the tri-annual Ministry of Health Ambulance Service Review.
- Provides regular support and updates to the Deputy Chief of Logistics, along with guidance and problem-solving options for Logistics staff on daily operations.

**Skills & Qualifications**:
**Essential**
- Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management and/or equivalent of 3 to 5 years supervisory experience working in an inventory management environment, preferably in a healthcare industry.
- Experience coordinating regular equipment preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with MS Office including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
