**Project Manager - Construction**

HYBRID (Mid-Vancouver Island)

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our dynamic team.

**Position Overview**

**Location**: Central Vancouver Island _(must have drivers license and the ability to travel to/from head office and active job sites as required)._

**Salary / Wages**: Negotiable and dependent on qualifications, experience, and skill level

This role offers a distinctive advantage for the project manager to occasionally engage in on-site carpentry work. **Key Responsibilities**

Project Planning and Initiation:

- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, estimates, budgets, resource requirements, and risk assessment.

Project Execution and Monitoring:

- Supervise and manage project teams, including subcontractors and vendors, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Oversee procurement of construction materials, equipment, and services.

Budget and Cost Management:

- Create project estimates.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, closely monitoring costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and approve project-related expenditures, change orders, and invoices.

Communication and Stakeholder Management:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and potential changes.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.

**Preferred Qualifications **_**(not required)**_
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or another related field (or equivalent experience).
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, preferably with 3-5+ years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
