Must be proficient in quality practices and procedures and the ability to coordinate and maintain BRC and HACCP programs.
- Participate as required in third party and customer audits.
- Play a key role in the development of R&D and new product.
- Interacting daily with Facility Manager and production staff on projects and procedures impacting quality, food safety and efficiencies.
- Performs facility, products and process inspections and communicate findings and any deviations to Facility Manager and production supervision. Effectively recognizes and investigates quality and food safety concerns and acts to correct problems in a timely and orderly manner.
- Work with R&D best practices and project management in helping to develop and test new products.
- Maintain approved supplier and materials documentation.
- Document all QA activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collect and submits samples for laboratory analysis.
- Assist with investigations of consumer/customer complaints.
- Assist operations to ensure compliance with all procedures and policies for staff safety, product safety and quality and waste reduction. Ensure compliance with all record keeping requirements. Follow up on all deviations, identifying their root cause, the appropriate corrective, and preventative actions.
- CCP monitoring and follow deviation and corrective action procedures.
- Evaluate and communicate on trends of product specifications and related analysis.
- Report observations of any deviation to established processes, GMP’s, standard operating procedures, and standards.
- Perform post allergen cleaning verification, ATP and environmental swabbing and record keeping in all areas of facility. Coordination of sending samples to the lab and obtaining reports from them.
- Support training and orientation of new employees and provide training of QA and food safety manners. Perform on-the-job staff training and staff evaluation and
