**OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY**:
Ensures the quality of all products and production procedures with responsibilities for all products going to customers.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**1. INSPECTION**
- Conducts without supervision all incoming shipment, work-in-process, sub-contracting (IN/OUT) and final inspections of components and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Completes and maintains accurate logs, non-conformance/disposition and N.M.R. reports.
- Maintains final inspection statistics.
- Maintains final log comment fields to keep them pertinent to customer requirements and product history.
- Conduct internal audits to verify adherence to quality procedures and industry regulations.

**2. AUDIT**
- Participates in the process of ensuring that all formal production and sub-contracting procedures are carried out exactly and constantly.
- Evaluates in-process production & product quality.
- Maintains and evaluates final inspection records and logs.

**3. PREVENTION MEASURES**
- Provides technical quality training (procedures and product quality) for employees and sub-contractors.
- Trains other inspectors regarding final inspection and customer history.
- Issues certificates of compliance.

**4. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED**

**INITIATIVE REQUIRED**:
Must be energetic, reliable, motivated, able to work independently, methodical, and confident. Should also be a quick learner and have a keen eye for detail.

**GUIDANCE AND AUTHORITY**:
**Received**:Responsible to the Quality Control Supervisor who provides guidance, prioritizes workload, co-ordinates disposition of non-complianceand delegates special projects.

**Given**:Provides training guidance and advise in quality matters to all production staff.

**COMMUNICATION**:
**Internal**:

- Customer Service; expediting orders.
- Production staff; expediting orders.
- VP and Quality engineer; Quality findings

**External**:

- Audits and training support.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Knowledge**:

- Sound knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001)
- Moderate knowledge of production practices and procedures in manufacturing.
- Familiarity with electronics.
- Thorough WECO product knowledge, packing standards and customers' special requirements would be an asset.

**Skills**:

- Bilingual (French/English) an asset.
- Good oral/written communication skills.
- Good mathematical ability.
- Ability to read technical drawings, technical procedures and specifications and troubleshooting.
- Strong interpersonal and teaching skills.
- Good computer literacy (Excel and Access).
- Proficient in the use of various inspection tools and equipment, such as callipers, gauges, and micrometers.
- Have basic knowledge of manufacturing line audits.

**Education**:High School diploma**.**

**Experience**:4 years similar duties in electronic or electrical component industry or 2 years as a WECO Quality Control Inspector would be an asset.

**WORKING ENVIRONMENT**:
Plant working conditions. Occasional overtime may be required but not mandatory. Must comply to safety regulations and procedures on all machinery, equipment and in regard to the working environment in general.
