As a **Shipper/Receiver** at Accumetal Manufacturing, you will manage the flow of materials in and out of the facility. With a positive attitude, teamwork skills, and a strong work ethic you can help contribute to the further success of our company

**What you will do**:

- Work from a pull/pick sheet, retrieve items from the production floor and prepare for shipping according to relevant specifications.
- Move materials about the production floor for storage, use in production, shipping or to keep warehouse tidy and organized.
- Assemble skids for shipping, using wrap, ties, and straps as required.
- Load and unload trucks using lift truck, pump truck, or crane as required.
- Consult with other staff and/or supervisors on status of outstanding items to be shipped.
- Consult with shipping company on space availability and coordinate delivery in consultation with Supervisors.
- Ensure the safe movement and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Ensure traffic lanes remain clear of clutter.
- Maintain clearance of truck doors including snow shoveling in the winter.
- Conduct morning safety checks on tow motors.
- Maintain inventory of skids and 2x4s by completing order requisitions.
- Build skids from 2x4s to suit part size and shipping specifications, including measuring, cutting and assembling.
- Other duties as assigned.

**What you will need to succeed**:

- Ability to perform work with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to perform basic construction/assembly to build skids.

**Required Education and Experience**:

- Completion of Grade 12.
- Forklift certified (or capacity to operate a forklift).
- Overhead crane certificate.
- Transportation of Hazardous Goods certificate.

**Salary**: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Shipping & receiving: 1 year (preferred)
