IT Specialist

Martech Electrical Systems Ltd. - _**CASTLEGAR**_ has an immediate opening for a **Full Time IT Specialist **to join our team. Martech is a family-owned business that has been serving the Castlegar and West Kootenay region for the past 30 years. Our facility and shop provide services to industrial, commercial, and institutional clients in the area, specializing in multiple disciplines of electrical work.

**Job Details**:
This is a Full-Time position that is available immediately. The position is based in Castlegar, BC. Working hours are from 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday.

**Wages of $65-90k per year and benefits are based on education, experience, and qualifications.**
- Manage information technology and computer systems
- Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
- Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
- Ensure security data, network access and backup systems
- Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in a timely manner
- Audit systems and assess their outcomes
- Preserve assets, information security and control structures
- Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness
- Configures and troubleshoots various IT devices, including workstations, laptops, printers, phones, and mobile devices
- Performs other related duties as assigned

**Qualification Requirements and Skills**:

- Proven working experience as an IT Specialist or relevant experience
- Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
- Expertise in data centre management and data governance
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
- Ability to work well as part of a team and to remain calm in stressful circumstances
- Ability to accurately document instances of equipment or component failure, repair, installation, and removal

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
