IT Specialist

BE Power Equipment is a leading manufacturer of pressure washers, air compressors, generators, and water pumps serving industrial markets in over 30 countries. Headquartered in Abbotsford, BC, our third generation, family-owned business is focused on designing quality products and delivering exceptional service. We are on the hunt for an experienced and professional IT Specialist to join our team

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Provide user support which requires troubleshooting and providing technical guidance to company staff as needed.
- Implement regular housekeeping procedures including but not limited to: data backup, software updates, hardware maintenance etc.
- Provide desktop and printer support for users as required.
- Setup and administration of network accounts.
- Provide orientation to new users of existing technology in system use and access.
- Establish and control system access and security.
- Check systems in order to optimize performance and to initiate recovery action where necessary.
- Assess the company's information systems and identify gaps that need to be addressed.
- Ensure security and privacy measures are in place.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.

**Requirements**:
**WHAT YOU HAVE**:

- Diploma in an IT related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2-5 years of related work experience preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Network experience including management of DNS, DHCP, switches, routers and access points.
- Experience working with a variety of devices including, but not limited to: desktops, printers, VOIP phones, cellphones, and Android scan guns.
- Experience working with a cloud-based ticketing system.
- Experience managing user accounts.

- You are fluent in the English language (written & verbal).
