**Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is looking for a highly motivated person to fulfill a full-time (40h/week) Intern, Data Analyst - Unit Train Supply Chain role in Edmonton, AB for summer 2023 (May - August).**

Job Summary

The Intern, Data Analyst - Unit Train Supply Chain is responsible for interacting with and assisting multiple groups of CN employees with data analysis for various ongoing projects. The incumbent is initially working with the Senior Manager, Bulk Operations to gain experience in Supply Chain Management and to determine the data needed to complete tasks.

Major Responsibilities
- Perform collection as to the performance of the CN network (Train and Car data)
- Analyze data for performance gaps
- Identify opportunities that will close gaps in the supply chain
- Evaluate objectives against actual performance
- Analyze performance targets for individual supply chain
- Set-up goals for future performance
- Update daily and weekly scorecard for commodity

- Proficient knowledge of mathematical skills
- Ability to analyze, model and interpret data
- Problem-solving skills
- Methodical and logical approach
- Makes informed and timely decisions to get things done
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English)
- Must be able to work in Canada
- Ability to work remotely if required

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
- Study in applied statistics or data analysis*
- Technical Skills Required: SQL, XML, Javascript, Python, Tableau, Power BI
- Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset
