**Purpose of the position**:
A Pharmacy Student is an aspiring pharmacy professional who works under licensed pharmacists' supervision to gain practical experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Key responsibilities include assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications, providing excellent customer service, managing inventory, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the pharmacy. This role involves a combination of hands-on tasks, such as medication preparation and data entry, customer interaction and collaboration with healthcare professionals. Pharmacy Students play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a pharmacy while developing the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful career in pharmacy.

**Responsibilities**:
Medication Management and Assistance Dispensing:

- Receive and process new prescriptions, ensuring accurate patient records.
- Assist in assessing patient health needs and expectations.
- Enter prescription orders, generate labels, and maintain a clear audit trail.
- Verify correct prescriptions, repackaging and labelling medications as needed.
- Maintain equipment and facilities for dispensing, ensuring cleanliness.
- Prepare narcotic and third-party reports to handle billing.

Customer Service and Service Excellence:

- Greet and assist patients at the dispensary counter.
- Communicate effectively with patients, peers, and healthcare professionals.
- Advise pharmacists of vital information during the filling process.
- Answer phones, screen calls, and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Ensure patients receive filled prescriptions promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of the pharmacy counter and equipment.

Inventory Management:

- Monitor and manage stock levels for optimal operation.
- Receive, verify, and restock supplies, addressing discrepancies.
- Rotate stock and monitor medication expiry dates.
- Issue supplies from the storeroom and prepackage medications.
- Ensure the dispensary is well-stocked with necessary supplies.

**Education and Experience**
- Currently enrolled in a pharmacy program.
- Pharmacy experience not required.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication at all levels.
- Attention to detail.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.00-$30.00 per hour
