**Job Description**:
Audit Advisor

Our Finance division is looking for an enthusiastic, self-driven, resourceful individual to join our Audit team in a full time Audit Advisor role.

The Audit Services team reports to the AESO’s Audit Committee (Board) and functionally to the Vice President of Finance. Our team provides independent, objective assurance, advice and insight to add value and improve operations within the AESO.

The Audit Advisor facilitates discovery exercises, conducts business and IT audit sprints and advisory work in conformance with the mandatory elements of the Institute of Internal Auditors Standards. In this role you will contribute to evolving the role of Audit Services to advance real-time automated assurance, assurance by design and data analytics.

You have:

- Proven working experience as an internal auditor, IT auditor or in data analytics audit or controls support
- Knowledge of information technology terminology, concepts, and practices
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with the internal audit team, management and staff, and to work effectively in a professional team environment.
- Familiarity with the Institute of Internal Auditors’ standards and the Code of Ethics (CIA or CISA designation) considered an asset

Related experience in the following areas would be desirable:

- Next generation audit skills around digital transformation and innovation e.g. Artificial intelligence (AI), robotic process automation (RPA), advanced analytics, continuous auditing
- High impact reporting, dynamic risk assessment, agile audit
- SOC, C-SOX, IT General Controls or other compliance audit experience
- Experience with Workday, ServiceNow, Power BI
- Industry experience
