**Full job description**

**Position Title**: Arborist Manager

**Main Functions**:Obtain jobs for the Arborist division and oversee work being done by employees within department

**Reports to**: Owner, Operations Manager

**Duties**:

- Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and diseases
- Meet customers daily and provide bids and estimates for any jobs pertaining to tree work
- Promote sales to existing clients
- Identify and solicit potential clients
- Supervise and co-ordinate the activities and duties of the tree crew laborers and arborists/tree crew foreman’s
- Oversee training of workers in job duties and company policies
- Enforce safety standards and implement disciplinary action upon uncooperative employees
- Set annual financial targets for department
- Review each job for quality of work and profitability
- Monitor department spending and equipment purchasing
- Work with landscape project manager at times to coordinate jobs being done on same site
- Develop and implement marketing plans
- Measure success of various marketing strategies
- Resolve work related problems within division

**Employment Requirements**:

- Hold an ISA Certified Arborist Certificate or be equally as knowledgeable
- Strong ability to sell
- Professional attitude towards staff and customers
- Capable of balancing multiple tasks
- Understanding of budgeting and cost analysis
- Strong communication skills
- Previous work experience with trees

/ Seasonal (year round work available, discuss with Interviewer)

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
