**About ADM**

**About the Position**
Supervise the safe and efficient operation of the milling department. Adjust, maintain and repair all milling equipment in accordance with ADM Operational Milling Standards. Train and develop milling staff. Optimize mill yields, moistures, capacity and product quality. Maintain records & reports in accordance with established ADM policies and procedures. Assist in other departments as business needs arise. Follow the Management Operating System to achieve established goals for all production related parameters. Directly responsible to the Mill Superintendent - functionally responsible to the Plant Manager. Direct reports: 3 direct hourly and all other hourly employees at the Plant (when on 2nd or 3rd shift) report to this position. The Shift Millers are responsible for Supervising the Milling Department and associated functions that receive, store, clean and convert raw material to finished bulk and bagged products. This position is required to lead a Shift of direct reports and hold them accountable to the goals of the department.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Facilitate and ensure adherence to safety laws, regulations, rules and sound practices
- Work in conjunction with the management team in continuous improvement along the journey of “Only Zero is Acceptable” with the implementation of Health & Safety programs, policies and procedures
- Ensure that all unsafe behavior and conditions are corrected promptly
- Assist with Incident Investigation (root cause analysis), incident trends and related preventative measures Continually setting the example for safety, which includes holding yourself and each of your employees accountable for placing safety awareness into practice
- Perform Safety Audits
- Responsible for security challenges and general physical security of ADM assets / facility
- As with safety responsibilities, expected to be constantly focused on protecting and improving the quality of our products
- Your participation in the quality effort is important to the relationship that ADM has with its customers
- Be the central point of contact for product quality issues within assigned area
- Responsibility for ensuring that all quality analysis procedures are carried out correctly and on the prescribed schedule
- Evaluate quality issues and provide input on procedural or equipment improvements that will improve the quality of our product
- Managing the flour mills, bulk storage, and wheat cleaning processes safely and in accordance with all ADM Operational Milling Standards
- Provide technical knowledge for processes and equipment to obtain optimum performance
- Utilize milling personnel and equipment in an efficient manner to obtain maximum capacity and performance with optimum yields, grade percentages and a quality product
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained & lubricated
- All flour stream checks and tail outs to be documented and performed as per the ADM Operational Milling Standards Develop procedures that would improve (reduce) mill EDT levels on all mills
- Maintain Mill Sanitation at a level (BRC Certified) that meets the expectation of ADM Food Safety policies and procedures
- Participate in, regulatory/third party/customer/company audits as required
- Work with location management in continued development with the implementation of Plant Sanitation & Food Safety (HACCP) programs, policies and procedures
- Ensure a safe and productive work environment.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**
- This position will require an excellent command of the following: leadership, problem solving, self-motivation and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Outlook) required.
- Position requires walking potentially long distances, standing, climbing stairs and ladders, working with tools, working within close-confined spaces and working within extreme temperatures.
- Shift work and overtime is required.
- Work in accordance with local/provincial legislation
- Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements
- Relocation support is not available for this position.
