We currently have an opportunity for a **temporary part-time Dietetic Technician until September 2025 in the Nutrition & Food Services.**
**Hours of Work**:26.25 hours/week

SHIFT TIMES VARY, INCLUDING 10:30-18:30H, 09:30-17:30H, 0730-15:30H. WORKING EVERY THIRD WEEKEND

**How Dietetic Technician support our teams at Grand River Hospital**:

- Collects, assesses and inputs in the CBORD system all patient related information required to ensure the provision of patient specific meals consistent with the diet order prescribed.
- Screens and assesses patients at low and moderate nutritional risk and develops and implements nutrition care plan
- Works in conjunction with clinical dietitians and SLPs in performing these duties
- Conducts meal rounds
- Patient diet teaching as assigned
- Participates in the mentoring of the Dietetic Internship Program students
- Participates in department quality improvement projects
- Performs diet office duties including menu entry, tray tickets, processing ADTs and inputting diet order and preferences

**At Grand River Hospital, the Dietetic Technician:
- Graduate of an approved Food and Nutrition Management Program at a Community College or University graduate of Food and Nutrition Program
- Membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM)
- Excellent decision-making skill
- Excellent clinical nutrition knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member and independently to accomplish daily task
- Proficiency in Microsoft office
- Knowledge of CBORD computer software is an asset
