Job Summary:
We're seeking a talented Web & Graphics Specialist to join our team In this role, you'll be the creative force behind our front-end web design and development, as well as the mastermind behind our captivating marketing and sales collateral. You'll collaborate closely with diverse teams to transform creative concepts and user journeys into reality, all while maintaining our Central 1 brand standards and ensuring optimal accessibility and user experience.

What you'll be doing:
Web Design & Development:

- Maintain and update WordPress and TeamSite websites, plugins, themes, architecture and digital experiences, with attention to detail and adherence to quality standards and web best practices.
- Collaborate with the design team and offer feedback and suggestions to improve visual design and usability, collaborating closely with visual designers to align with design goals.
- Participate in discussions and provide recommendations regarding technical solutions, considering factors such as costs, time requirements, and alternative approaches, under the guidance of senior team members.
- Support project estimate efforts to assist in the development of project schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines, and proposing solutions for any deviations.
- Assist with monitoring SEO/analytics performance metrics and contributes to establishing measurable goals to enhance marketing efforts.
- Assist in troubleshooting, escalations, and training related to content management systems and Central 1's digital experiences.
- Collaborate with SecOps/Security teams to uphold best practices and identifies and addresses security vulnerabilities under the guidance of senior team members.

Graphic Media Creation:

- Develop visually stunning graphics, illustrations, and other design elements for digital and print media.
- Design marketing collateral, including but not limited to banners, social media graphics and gifs, PowerPoint presentations, proposals, and more.
- Design and produce animated content, such as motion graphics, gifs, and animated PowerPoint slides
- Bring static designs to life through animation to enhance user engagement.
- Occasionally create and/or edit videos for promotional, instructional, and informational purposes.
- Design and maintain the Central 1 brand and visual identity standards, including promotional and communications materials, signage, stationary, and electronic templates, and event marketing materials.

Other Accountabilities
- Effectively manage multiple projects with varying deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work.
- Efficiently manage workflow with use of project management software.
- Maintain and uphold brand consistency across all multimedia materials. Act as a brand enforcer and assist team members in effectively using brand materials.
- Stay ahead in the web and design landscape by continuously updating your skills, experimenting with new technologies and mediums, and staying informed about the latest trends, tools, and practices.

What you'll have:

- A degree in computer science with a focus on interactive/web design (or equivalent)
- 3+ years relevant experience in web design and development. Experience must include the building of Wordpress and Teamsite websites.
- 3+ years of graphic design experience, with a focus on solving strategic problems through design.
- Knowledge of colour theory, typography, layout design and usability principles, particularly in UI and UX contexts.
- A working knowledge and understanding of Wordpress, CSS, CSS3, HTML5, PHP and JavaScript.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, ie. Photoshop, XD, InDesign and Illustrator.
- Knowledge of methods, standards, and UI and UX best practices for web and mobile web development.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills. Demonstrates effective communication, both orally and in writing, with technical teams and coworkers. Able to adhere to schedules, and adapt
