Assistant Grower

**Roles and responsibilities**:
Under the supervision of the Master Grower, the Assistant Grower will execute the following tasks related to production:

- Perform all growth media tests (Moisture, PH EC)
- Ensure proper irrigation of all plants in the zones of their control.
- Ensure crop work is being done appropriately by the labour teams while they are in their zone.
- Maintain and observe general health of the plants within their zone on a daily basis.
- As needed, effectively scout for insects and diseases. Spot spraying when necessary.
- Fill out all necessary crop paperwork.
- Work with Master Grower and Facilities to ensure irrigation is working as desired.
- Working with the labour teams, ensure all waste is removed from zone by end of day.
- Show initiative with the improvement of their processes, with intention of increasing cannabinoids, yield and terpenes.
- Work with Cleaning and Sanitation to ensure that their Zones are cleaned to a satisfactory level.
- Responsible for the yield, potency, terpenes, and quality of the product coming from their zones.
- In cooperation with other Assistant Grower, ensure that the health of the plants are monitored and kept over the weekends.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- A college diploma in horticulture or related field is required
- 2-3 years of work in the Agricultural industry
- Available to work evening and weekend as required to ensure the health of the plants and quality of product
- Pesticide certification is an asset
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to use hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate standard office equipment
