- The
- **Facilities Technician **performs a wide range of preventative maintenance and facilities services tasks including, but not limited to the maintenance, inspection and repair of interior and exterior facility systems.**Responsibilities**
- General maintenance and upkeep procedures for all facilities.
- Inspect building and mechanical systems to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Perform manual repairs as required to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain heating, cooling, plumbing and irrigation systems to ensure functionality.
- Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
- Work with external contractors to schedule and facilitate building maintenance and repairs.
- Inspect alarm systems such as carbon dioxide and fire protection and schedule repairs when needed.
- Assist team members with the setup of exhibits and productions that occur throughout the year.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrated knowledge of Government Regulations and Compliance Acts as related to trades in Ontario.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes.
- Demonstrated experience in building operations and facility management systems.
- Experienced in repairs to electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
- Working knowledge of tools associated with the trades.
- Strong problem solving and oral, written & verbal communication skills.
- Manual dexterity.
- Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.
- Must have a valid G driver’s licence.
