Sammie Café is an Innovative and Playful Food-Forward Brunch spot in the heart of Marda Loop

We are expanding and looking for the right people to join our growing team.

We are open 8:00am-4:00pm for our winter hours and 8:00am to 8:00pm in the spring and summer hours. Shifts may start at 6:00am or earlier and may end at 5:00 pm or later if required. Shifts run from 4 up to 10 hour shifts.

Please include your availability with you resume. We are looking to hire **immediately**.

Job Responsibilities:

- Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
- Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces. Must have understanding of what it means to multitask and finding the best way to complete a task.
- Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards. Must be able to work multiple stations efficiently and accurately serve food.
- Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
- Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
- Performs inventory checks, completes food storage logs, putting away deliveries.
- Communicating essential information with the team. Prep items, food shortages, purchasing and covering shifts.

Qualifications/Skills:

- Basic English written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational skills and ability to work multiple tasks
- Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
- Must be a reliable part of the team
- Follows directions and instructions
- Proper food handling and sanitation
- Kitchen experience is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months
Part-time hours: 12-20 per week

**Salary**: $16.50-$21.20 per hour
