The Municipality of Lakeshore is approximately 525 km2 and consists of 40 km of both Highway 401 and Lake St. Clair shoreline. Lakeshore is a fast growing municipality that requires a flexible and proactive Fire Service Team to meet the needs of the community. The Municipality of Lakeshore Fire Division provides public education, fire code enforcement and emergency response services. The full time Fire Administration currently consists of a Fire Chief, a Deputy Fire Chief,
Assistant Deputy Fire Chiefs, Fire Prevention Officer, and an Administrative Assistant. The Municipality is serviced by 5 volunteer fire stations each consisting of a District Chief, Captains and firefighting staff.

**Due to a retirement, the Municipality has an employment opportunity for a full time**:
**Assistant Deputy Fire Chief**

The Assistant Deputy Fire Chief is responsible for incident command and a combination of emergency planning, operational support, training, public education, and fire prevention.

**Some Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills required include**:

- 2 year degree or diploma in Fire Services or equivalent in education and work experience
- 5 years as a fulltime firefighter or equivalent of which 3 years as an officer with incident command and supervisory experience
- Must possess NFPA 1001, 1021, 1041, 1521, 1002, 1031, 1035
- Experience in development and presentation of fire or emergency services training
- Experience in fire code inspections and code enforcement
- Must have maintained a valid DZ license or higher for a minimum of 5 years, no demerit points, and no criminal convictions
- Working knowledge of the Incident Command System and Fire Protection and Prevention Act

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $79,388.00-$92,856.00 per year
