MacEwan University is seeking AV Tech I’s for multiple part-time casual opportunities with the Conference and Event Services department.

Conference and Event Services provides AV equipment and support for the entire MacEwan community and external rentals in all event venues (performance theaters are the only exception), including classroom support evenings and weekends. The AV technician is responsible for providing technical support to internal and external events managed by Conference and Event Services.

Key responsibilities include:

- Setting up and tearing down AV equipment such as speakers, monitors, microphones and mixing boards in a variety of event venues at City Centre Campus.
- Operating AV equipment and providing technical assistance to event staff.
- Ensuring equipment set-ups and teardowns are done in a manner that is safe for all staff and attendees.

**SKILLS**:
You will have:

- The ability to self-motivate.
- Excellent communication skills.
- The ability to work well under mínimal supervision.
- Time management skills.
- Customer service oriented.
- Technical knowledge, sufficient for setup and troubleshooting of AV equipment.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- A minimum of a high school diploma.
- A minimum of one year of experience in the Audiovisual industry.
- Experience with AV setups and operation, including sound mixing.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
