**Position Title: Corrosion EIT I (Pipeline Integrity) (2 positions)**

**GENERAL FUNCTION**:
The Corrosion EIT I role is a technical position with the PI team. The Corrosion EIT I will be responsible for the analysis of pipeline field data and the generation of detailed technical reports for the above-grade pipeline survey analysis while meeting time/cost/quality/scope constraints.

This position requires assistance on more complex or high-risk projects and has capability to complete low complexity jobs to completion with some assistance. Supervision is required and is dependent on work experience. This individual is able to explain facts, policies, and practices related to their job area to other technical staff.
- Review and analysis of pipeline data generated by field personnel.
- Reviewing the validity of utilizing external corrosion direct assessment in different situations.
- Analyzing the results of Close Interval Potential Surveys (CIPS) and Direct Current Voltage Gradient (DCVG) surveys.
- Ensuring appropriate selection of direct examination locations.
- Generation of detailed technical reports and review of reports generated by others in the group.
- Coordinate and complete the engineering project tasks according to scope and schedule.
- Work with project managers to meet or exceed out customers’ expectations.
- Coordinate design reviews and creation of QA/QC documentation for projects.
- Provide customer support, build customer relationships, and working with customers onsite may be required.
- Required to work some scheduled weekends to support field staff and review data.
- Flexibility to take on other tasks and responsibilities when required.
- Expectation is >95% of work to be office work with the remainder being field work.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- University graduate
- No previous engineering experience is required.
- Satisfies the academic requirements for registration as a professional engineer in one or more provinces in Canada.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
- Advanced oral and report writing skills.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and computer skills are required.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably Pronto, would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of GIS mapping systems would be a benefit.
- Exposure to working with Project Managers in a matrix organization would be beneficial.
- Travel, overtime and weekend work may be required to meet customer commitments.
