The Machine Shop Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the expediting process within the machine shop, ensuring efficient production to the company’s quality standards.

**Responsibilities and Duties include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)**
- Ensures personal safety and the safety of subordinates. Supervisor is to provide the personal protective equipment required.
- Ensure compliance and enforces company policies and procedures.
- Makes sure employees are equipped with the required tools to perform the job efficiently and safely. The Supervisor is to maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times, including the upkeep of workstations and machines.
- Guarantees equipment and tools are in good working order and available for use when required.
- Troubleshoots and determines corrective action for machinery and process flow when necessary.
- Responsible for production requirements during the day shift, as well as setting up production on the 2ndshift.
- Accountable for completing the amounts required for their shift.
- Consults with production team and front office personnel to resolve problems affecting production schedules.
- Determines work procedures, prepares work schedule/ priority board and expedites workflow.
- Responsible for tracking production times for all jobs in the Machine Shop (time sheets).
- Assigns duties and examines the work to meet our quality standards.
- Confirms all required in-process quality inspections are being completed on time.
- Does root-cause analysis for NCR’s issued to his/her department.
- Guarantees conformity of the department in regards to ISO9001.
- Reviews labor required to match production schedules.
- The supervisor will promote team work, address conflict, and collaborate with Human Resource when necessary to resolve disputes.
- The supervisor will maintain fair treatment of all employees, ensuring employees are returned to their work stations and taking breaks within appropriate time frames.
- Approves and coordinates vacation requests.
- Conducts annual performance reviews for Machinists.
- **Other duties as assigned.**

**Qualifications**:

- Attentiveness to Health and Safety.
- Good mechanical understanding on how machines work and how to operate them safely.
- CNC and machine set up experience.
- Able to read blueprints and drawings.
- Able to verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
- Able to efficiently troubleshoot.
- Work under pressure.
- Ability to supervise 6 - 12 people.
- Able to compete in a Fast-paced environment and manage tight deadlines with little direction.

**Salary**: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
