Temporary Maternity Leave Coverage
- Performing reception and reception-related duties, including but not limited to: booking patient appointments, greeting patients, answering the phone lines, responding to routine inquiries from telephone calls and visitors; redirecting calls, liaising with practice-based primary care team members or providing routine information requiring a detailed knowledge of the organization’s functions.
- Maintaining master schedules for physicians
- Overseeing and monitoring room bookings and scheduling
- Maintaining patient records by obtaining, recording, and updating personal information and inputting data as requested
- Generating lists, reports, etc., as necessary
- Liaising with patients and families in a professional and compassionate manner while maintaining privacy and confidentiality
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information, whether internal or customer specific.
- Photocopying, scanning, and distributing materials; handlings incoming and outgoing mail and faxes
- Arranging for courier as required
- Arranging appointments, interviews, scheduling, meetings, agendas, conferences and travel as requested
- Exchange knowledge and information with others to ensure best practices are shared throughout the organization
- Maintain accurate, concise, and confidential documentation.
- Supports the education, training, and professional development needs of team members.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
- Diploma in Medical Office Administration or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Preference given to those with two to five years office experience, preferable in a clinical setting
- Experience with switchboard/multi-line telephone system an asset
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines
- Exceptional customer service, communication, and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to work well in a team environment
- Demonstrated problem solving skills, initiative, and ability to function independently
- Prefer to have own vehicle and valid Ontario driver’s license.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Casual

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour
