Solar Generation Specialist

Akamihk Energy Inc., a utility management company responsible for managing the solar farm, gas utility infrastructure, commercial and electrical services in Montana First Nation, is looking for a Solar Generation Specialist to work with the team to enhance the current services and grow assets and business lines of the company.
**Role Description**
Scope
All Solar generation facilities owned/operated by Akamihk Energy
- Utility scale generation
- Commercial building systems
- Residential systems
Including the solar panels, structure and racking, DC and AC wiring, combiner boxes, inverters, transformers, switchgear, e-house, grounds, fencing, interconnection with distribution and interaction with Fortis/ATCO regarding operation and maintenance
**Responsibilities**
PM program development for all aspects of each installation
Maintenance procedure development
Operations procedure development
Daily monitoring of operation, production, and condition of the assets
Inspections of each facility
Daily/weekly/monthly/annual reporting
PM program execution and reporting
Corrective maintenance identification and correction
Condition monitoring of solar equipment and facilities
Contractor management
Scheduling of maintenance activities
Vegetation control
Carbon credit verification and valuation
Billing of consumption for any direct-connected solar facilities.
Participate in commissioning and start up of new facilities.
Use/develop the CMMS.
**Qualifications**
Electrical Technologist/Journeyman Electrician
Industrial PM program experience
Solar farm installation/operation experience
**Salary**: $24.24-$25.58 per hour
