Based in Huntsville, the **Survey Technician** will have a wide range of duties which focus on conventional surveying services. You will be part of a team that is involved with construction monitoring, precision layout, 3D laser scanning, and bathymetry surveys. We are constantly thinking of innovative solutions and ideas and will utilize emerging technologies to improve both the efficiency and quality of deliverables to our clients. This position will run from September - December 2023.

**What You’ll Do**:
As part of the TULLOCH Geomatics team, you will:
Field:

- Organize field equipment and supplies
- Ensure all field equipment is accounted for and maintained in good working order
- Demonstrate the essential skills related to the use of all field equipment used to perform job responsibilities
- Assist in the collection of field data using various survey instruments, levels, and GPS field equipment

Office:

- Assist Project Managers in all aspects of project delivery
- Process field data and computer-generated survey information
- Assist in ensuring plans are in compliance with MTO standards and drafting requirements
- Assist in preparing pre-engineering, topographic, and cadastral plans

**Who You Are**:

- Proficient in the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of survey equipment
- Proficient in the operation of ATVs/UTVs/snowmobiles
- You are willing to travel for site inspections and field work on occasion, sometimes on short notice and for long periods of time
- You can pivot and alter approach or recommendations to accomplish desired results
- You are not afraid to raise your hand when you need help or guidance
- You are trusted and provided freedom to work independently but also contribute to the overall team success

- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid Class G driver’s licence
