**VAC Developments** is a growing _Canadian Aerospace and Defens_e Manufacturing Company located in Oakville. We are seeking a **Toolroom Attendant** to join our Team
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for organizing, identifying, marking, and tracking company owned tools.
- Inventories and places new tools in service.
- Identifies tools in need of replacement.
- Maintains/grind cutting tools for CNC Department.
- Prepare tooling kits for production runs so they are ready per the production schedule.
- Work with Purchasing to order out of stock tools and parts and ensure safety stock is in place.
- Properly stores tools following use by technicians.
Issues tools and equipment to personnel and maintains records of tool issuance and return.
- Pre-set tool lengths in preparation for scheduled production runs.
- Regrind and shape end mills and drills as necessary to ensure they are properly sharpened and calibrated for use.
- Receives, unpacks, and stores incoming tools and equipment, and requisitions stock to replenish inventory.
- Responds to broken tool reports and coordinates outside repairs in a timely manner.
- Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such Manual Mills/Lathes, Drill Press, Grinders, and other support equipment.
**Qualifications**:
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the aviation industry is preferred.
- Previous experience in tool maintenance, service, and repair.
- Previous CNC Mill and/or Lathe experience with an understanding of the various types of machine tools.
