This role will support and lead the materials department to world class service. This position is responsible for managing and coordinating all activities associated with the materials department. The materials supervisor will improve the department and themselves through training and continual learning.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Directs and coordinates all activities related to inventory management, shipping, receiving, planning and shop floor activities and support.
- Maintain a safe work environment adhering to safety policies, procedures and processes with a proactive approach.
- Manages the team with respect to time and attendance management, maintaining the team within budget.
- Trains team members on processes within department.
- Understand and hold team accountable to meet all KPI's/Metrics and goals within materials department and other company initiatives.
- Initiates problem solving and root cause analysis to prevent inventory inaccuracies
- Ensures all key controls (ICFR Internal Controls) identified are designed and operating as outlined that lead to financial reporting
- Ensure - policies and procedures are established and adhered to ensure goals and objectives for all regulatory and legal requirements are met including organizational quality, environmental, health and safety programs.

**WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL**:

- Strong communication skills with a variety of groups of people both verbally and written.
- 3-5 years of previous manufacturing experience
- Knowledge and understanding of MRP/ERP systems.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- APICS certification considered an asset.
- Proven ability to supervise in manufacturing setting an asset.
