Drywall/painter

**First Onsite** is seeking to hire a **full-time Drywall / Painter** to help rebuild homes and businesses for our residential and commercial customers after fire or flood emergencies. **A Day in the Life of a Drywaller and Painter**

As the Drywall / Painter you have sound knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures and builds, applies, or fastens interior and exterior wall boards or wall coverings in residential, commercial, and other structures. You enjoy measuring and installing drywall panels to accommodate electrical outlets, air-conditioning units, and plumbing. You possess skills with power and non-power tools to saw, drill, or cut holes in panels. You install blanket insulation between studs and tacks plastic moisture barrier over insulation. You love to remove plaster, drywall, and panelling, using your trusted crowbar and hammer. You assemble and install metal framing and decorative trim for windows, doorways, and vents, etc. You estimate the number of materials needed to complete a job and the length of time needed to complete the job.

**Additional Requirements**
- Minimum 1-2 years of drywall and painting experience.
- Courses or certifications from trade schools or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures
- Ability to pass a background check
- Valid drivers' license - FULL G
- Availability for scheduled on-call and after-hour shifts
- Ability to complete work activities which may include physical labour, material handling and lifting, climbing ladders, wearing a respirator, and working in tight spaces (attics, basements, and crawlspaces)
