BRIEF Reporting to the Captain, the incumbent will be responsible for handling cables of various sizes to dock and undock the tug and assisted vessels. He will also be responsible for all tug maintenance operations. He will be called upon to work on different sites.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in the maneuvers on the tugs;
Ensure the berthing and the departure of the tugs with the help of the cables;
Maintain accommodations and bridges;
Position the gangway and ensure the safe transfer of people;
Connect the ground power (plug and circuit breaker);
Clean, paint and perform other required work related to the maintenance of the facilities;
Assist the Chief Engineer in certain tasks;
Participate in and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Certificates of proficiency:
Basic Safety STCW-BS;
Lifeboat and rescue boat operating skills other than fast rescue boats.

Valid medical certificate issued by Transport Canada;
Restricted Radio Operator Certificate (RRO-M);
Bridge Watchman Certificate of Competency (asset);
Basic Marine First Aid Certificate (asset);
Three to five years of experience

as a deckhand;
Valid driver's license (class 5);
Autonomy;
Bilingualism in French and English, oral and written (asset).
