Your role
Libraries and Archives seeks a Music Librarian to join the music service team.
You will also assist with musical content and researching background sounds. Additionally, you will help devise and/or amend the rules, standards and methods affecting cataloguing and related systems, and ensure consistent adherence to them.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in music or equivalent- Minimum two (2) years’ experience performing similar or related duties
Skills:
- Knowledge of cataloguing standards; able to read sheet music- In-depth knowledge of multiple music genres- Knowledge of Disco 2 and VML databases an asset- Keen interest in research and client service- Interest in new technologies- Proficiency with Google Suite- Very good knowledge of French (language of work).- Interview
