Maintenance Associate

Patterson Dental is currently looking for a determined and resourceful person to join our dynamic team. The Maintenance Associate performs all aspects of troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of electromechanical systems as well as general building maintenance support in the fulfillment centre environment.

**Major Duties**:

- Electrical Knowledge (24V DC, 110V, 347V).
- Knowledge of motors and motor controls.
- Basic knowledge on plumbing, welding, and forklift operation.
- Ability to read a voltage meter.
- Perform all work orders and preventative maintenance as assigned.
- Capability to use and navigate through maintenance management programs (SAP, UpKeep, etc.).
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
- Follow proper safety guidelines including point of work risk assessment and lockout/tagout.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install parts on machines and equipment.
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Knowledge and proper use of hand and power tools.
- Perform visual inspections and maintenance of production equipment.
- May initiate purchase order for parts and machines.
- Notifies department manager of unusual situations.
- Follows safety and security rules and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Follows all good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and wear all required PPE in designated areas.
- Attention to detail in all performed activities.

**Job qualifications**:

- Post high school mechanical or building trades, or equivalent combination of education and work experience accepted.
- Four (4) to six (6) years of experience in building trades and/or machine repairs, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, etc.
- Four (4) to six (6) years of experience in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of material handling equipment, conveyor systems, and automated equipment.
- Ability to speak and write in French and English.
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills as well as good analytical and strategic thinking.
- Detail-oriented and thorough.

Patterson Dental est actuellement à la recherche d'une personne déterminée et débrouillarde pour se joindre à notre équipe dynamique. L'associé à l’entretien exécute tous les aspects du dépannage, de la réparation et de l’entretien préventif des systèmes électromécaniques ainsi que le soutien général à l’entretien des bâtiments dans l'environnement du centre de distribution.

**Fonctions essentielles**:

- Connaissances électriques (24V DC, 110V, 347V).
- Connaissance des moteurs et des commandes de moteurs.
- Connaissances de base en plomberie, soudure et conduite de chariot élévateur.
- Savoir lire un voltmètre.
- Exécuter tous les bons de travail et les travaux d'entretien préventif qui lui sont confiés.
- Capacité d'utiliser et de naviguer dans les programmes de gestion de l’entretien (SAP, UpKeep, etc.).
- Démontrer des connaissances et des aptitudes en mécanique.
- Suivre les consignes de sécurité appropriées, y compris l'évaluation des risques sur le lieu de travail et les procédures de verrouillage/étiquetage.
- Dépanner, réparer et installer des pièces sur les machines et l'équipement.
- Capacité à travailler de façon autonome ou en équipe.
- Connaissance et bonne utilisation des outils manuels et électriques.
- Effectuer des inspections visuelles et l'entretien des équipements de production.
- Peut avoir à initier un bon de commande pour les pièces et les machines.
- Avertit le chef de service des situations inhabituelles.
- Respecte les règles de sécurité et maintient la zone de travail dans un état propre et ordonné.
- Respecte toutes les bonnes pratiques de fabrication (BPF) et porte tous les EPI requis dans les zones désignées.
- Souci du détail dans toutes les activités réalisées.

**Formation et compétences**:

- Diplôme post-secondaire dans le secteur de la mécanique ou du bâtiment, ou combinaison équivalente d'études et d’expérience professionnelle acceptée.
- Quatre (4) à six (6) ans d'expérience dans le secteur du bâtiment et/ou en réparation de machines (plomberie, électricité, menuiserie, etc.).
