Experienced Class 3 Driver to Drive a Water Truck

Option Excavating Inc. is an Alberta-owned full-service underground infrastructure installation company. We specialize in installing water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer main lines, and services. We provide services to the municipal public works, petroleum, commercial and residential sectors—gas and Commercial Industry. We provide excavating, grading, and hauling for various projects throughout British Columbia and Alberta.
We seek an** Experienced class 3 driver to drive a water truck.**

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
- Safely operate units in diverse weather and challenging worksite environments.
- Comply with all jurisdictional traffic safety legislation.
- Inspect transport units and loads for safe operation during, before, and after all transport assignments as required by jurisdictional and/or NSC standards.
- Ensure the load is properly secured at all times.
- Completion and submission of all documentation on a timely basis as required. This includes logbooks, equipment inspection reports, time tickets, accompanying manifests, trip records, fuel, and credit card receipts.
- Work in a team environment with attention to safety and productivity
- Understand and comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Must be willing and able to learn general construction practices involving water, sewer, and road construction.
- Understand the issues involving ground disturbance and the ability to work in and implement safe work practices and contribute to a safe work environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program and encourage all employees, to adopt safety as a culture.

**Position Requirements & Skills**
- Must hold a valid class 3 license with airbrakes.
- Must have a clean driver abstract.
- Previous experience driving a waterhaul truck an asset
- Must be familiar with pre/post-trip inspections.
- Follow all safety and job procedures.
- CSTS certification or ability to achieve.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
- Ability to operate required equipment safely and responsibly.
- Time management skills.
- The job requires working with tools, pipes, and materials.
- Personal Protective Equipment (e.g., hard hats, safety boots, etc.) will be required.
- Can adapt to changing circumstances.
