We are looking for team members who have experience in a Grocery/retail store environment, with a mix of daytime / evening availability.

**Job description**

Pitchfork Market + Kitchen is a Grocery Store, with more A full Restaurant offering is available for in store consumption, pick up and delivery.

Applicants must be Energetic, Determined and possess a Positive Approach and Drive to Succeed.

Our Store is searching for a friendly and experienced Team Member to ensure that the grocery, fresh areas of our store and checkouts are well-maintained and running efficiently. Following health and safety regulations, ordering stock, ensuring that all fresh foods available to customers is to the highest standards of freshness, and providing first-rate customer service. You should be able to perform all physical aspects of the job such as lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, squatting, and standing for long periods of time. You will act as the first point of contact with customers and help them with information and support in buying their groceries.

**Responsibilities**:

- Remaining knowledgeable regarding all areas of the store.
- Ask customers about their needs and help them in making purchases, escort customers to the appropriate aisle, while providing excellent customer service.
- Ensure the store is clean, safe and in order.
- Keep shelves fully stocked with fresh products.
- Reshelf displaced products to avoid any damages.
- Using proper lifting techniques.
- Prepare stable store displays and ensure that products are safely stacked and accurately labeled.
- Stocking produce and rotating fresh fruit and vegetables, ensuring all produce is fresh and safe to eat.
- Removing produce that shows signs of spoilage.
- Ensuring the quality and visual appearance of Produce Department merchandise. Washing, cutting, and preparing produce for display on sales floor.
- Ensuring Meat department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business.
- Packaging of meat products for retail display
- Process customer orders and payments.
- Discard expired items and place near expiry items on special promotions.
- Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
- Adhering to food safety and handling procedures and following sanitation and cleaning procedures.

**Pitchfork Team Member** **Requirements**:

- High School Diploma/GED preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of produce/meat/grocery/dairy/frozen foods and operation of checkouts.
- Quality, hygiene, safety, and food preparation.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of the job such as lifting and carrying heavy items, climbing ladders, squatting, and standing for long periods of time.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-30 per week

**Salary**: $13.00-$18.00 per hour
