**Your Opportunity**:
Under the Direction of the IPC Executive Director, Calgary Zone and working in collaboration with the IPC Team, you will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of the IPC program within the Cancer Care Program. Key Responsibilities: Consultation to all stakeholders, surveillance, education, risk management and research. New employees to the IPC program will be required to work all workdays at their assigned location on-site, for the first 6-12 months. Duration is determined by management.

**Required Qualifications**:
Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Epidemiology, or Public Health. Other clinical health-related baccalaureate or graduate degrees may be considered if curriculum content equivalency can be adequately demonstrated. Minimum of three years' experience in a clinical health care setting, or experience and proficiency in two of the following: 1) patient care practice; 2) microbiology and infectious diseases; or 3) epidemiology and biostatistics. Active or eligible registration with the applicable regulatory college i.e. College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA), College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta (CMLTA), etc.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Certification in Infection Control (CIC) from the Certification Board of Infection Control Board (CBIC). Additional formal training in Infection Prevention and Control in an IPAC endorsed course. Oncology background preferred.
