Roofing Assistant

Our team at Atlantic Roofers Ltd. is currently hiring Roofing Assistants for our branch in the Winsloe area starting immediately.

**Job Details**:

- Permanent Full Time: Monday - Friday (some travel may be required, paid by the company)
- Pay rate: Starting at $18-$20/hr, based on experience
- Comprehensive pension plan, medical/dental benefits

**Duties may include, but are not limited to**:

- Loading/unloading construction materials, moving them to work areas
- Installing and removing scaffolding at construction sites
- Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
- Assisting with the installation of metal roofing, metal siding, ACM and Insulated Metal Panels
- Maintain a healthy, safe and productive work environment
- Proven ability to take direction and get the required job done

**Other requirements for this role include**:

- Basic math skills
- Experience with a variety of handheld and other power tools
- Physically able to lift heavy loads and work in excess of 8 hours in variable weather conditions
- Working at heights on a daily basis
- Ability to acquire all safety training and accreditation (we will provide safety training specific to our work)
- Some weekend flexibility required at times
- Knowledge in the safe use of fall protection equipment and PPE
- Red Seal Apprenticeship program is available to all employees and is encouraged
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and multitask
- Be a positive, productive team player
