Host/hostess

**Summary**

The Restaurant Host will be responsible for executing consistently high-levels of customer service, ensuring that each patron has an enjoyable dining experience in a restaurant setting.

**Job Duties**
- Welcome and seat guests in accordance with our standards in a professional and courteous manner.
- Take reservations and effectively manage a floor/seating plan.
- Assign sections and duties to F&B severs.
- Communicate with Culinary staff to maintain a cohesive work environment.
- Provide support to the F&B service team.
- Maintain familiarity with the composition of all menu items.
- Develop an understanding our Point of Sale and reservations systems.
- Be aware of and practice good customer relations, assisting the guest in any way that does not adversely affect other customers.
- Attend to customer concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Maintain cleanliness of work space and have any maintenance issues addressed.
- Be continually aware of, and maintain, the highest standards of personal hygiene and dress.
- Attend meetings and training courses as required.
- Any other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- A certificate or diploma in a related field valuable.
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
- Previous F&B experience preferred.
- Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to effectively communicate in the English language both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
- Computer literacy an asset.

**Working Conditions**
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Morning, evening, and weekend shifts as well as overtime as required.
- Lifting or moving up to 25lbs may be required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

**Salary**: $14.50-$16.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
