Esports Coach

Multiple Locations - Primarily Shane Homes YMCA at Rocky Ridge and Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton

**Salary**: $16.40/hour - $19.66/hour

Start Date: Immediately

What qualifications are we looking for?

Qualifications include:

- Knowledge and experience in the esports and video gaming sector
- Familiarity with consoles and software such as Nintendo Switch, Discord
- Experience working with children and youth
- Competency in oral and written communication skills, including basic use of technology
- Maturity and the ability to work independently
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR C
- Evidence of a cleared Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
- Three professional reference

What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?

Duties and Responsibilities include;
Operational Excellence
- Provide active in-ratio Esports program delivery to children and youth ages 8 - 17
- Execute program curriculum content
- Develop positive relationships with children, youth, and families
- Collect feedback and report incidents and trends to the Esports Supervisor

Health & Safety
- Follow all YMCA Calgary Emergency Procedures, Health & Safety, and Child Safety & Protection/Safeguarding policies

Staff Development and Capacity Building
- Provide support and mentorship to program volunteers
