**Position Summary**
Under the general direction and leadership of the Manager, Payroll, the Payroll Analyst will be responsible for all activities related to the scheduling and reconciliation of payroll accounts, reports and remittances in compliance with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), College Pension Plan and other governing agencies (e.g. EHT, WSIB, Union Dues).
The Payroll Analyst will work effectively in a team environment and be responsible for assisting with processing year-to-dates adjustments for all employee classes including full time and part time, bi-weekly transmittal processing of payroll, bank follow ups, and preparing bi-weekly cheque requests and journals.

**Responsibilities**
- Three (3) year diploma in Accounting, Payroll, Business Administration and/or equivalent
- Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation required
- Five (5) years of progressive experience with full cycle payroll processing, year-end processing, reconciliation, and T4/T4A balancing, preferably in a large, unionized workplace
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to use formulas/conditional statements and functions (e.g., VLOOKUP); ability to create insights from spreadsheet data
- Experience using payroll database systems (e.g. Banner)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively with internal and external users
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure to meet deadlines with constant interruptions
- Possess a high attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong aptitude for working with numbers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

**Qualifications/Experience**
