The LDB is one of two branches of government responsible for the cannabis and liquor industry of B.C. We operate the wholesale distribution of non-medical cannabis and beverage alcohol within the province, as well as the household retail brands of BC Cannabis Stores and BC Liquor Stores.

The LDB has been assigned to distribute, wholesale and sell non-medicinal cannabis inclusive of a government owned online channel with a mandate to support government’s key priorities of protecting children and youth, ensuring health and safety standards, and keeping the criminal element out of the supply chain. Following legalization, the BCLDB began distribution and wholesale of cannabis, and operating BC Cannabis Stores in a growing number of locations across the province. Since 2018 the BC Cannabis Stores chain has grown to over 30 locations with more growth planned all across the province. Cannabis operations within the BCLDB includes the Distribution, Merchandising, Retail Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing departments.

The Branch operates one Cannabis Distribution Centre. Under the direction of a supervisor, the Warehouse Worker 2 operates various material handling equipment, including an electric pallet jack, order picker, manual push cart/conveyors, and picking tug to assemble orders for shipment to retail, wholesale and ecommerce clients. The Warehouse Worker 2 is also responsible for packing the orders and shipping them out.

The Warehouse Worker 2 ensures the safe and efficient operation of all material handling equipment certified to operate in a fast-paced distribution environment utilizing a Warehouse Management System based on radio-frequency technology. Maintains Key Point Indicators (KPIs) set forth by management for short term goals and long term goals, which are monitored and reported by the hour.

**Position Requirements**:

- Must be 19 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada.

Preferred qualifications include:

- Minimum of one year of material handling equipment experience in a warehouse setting.
- Experience within the Cannabis industry.
- Experience with Tecsys or any other Warehouse Management System
- Experience within an E-commerce environment.
- Experience in a fast paced, high volume distribution/warehouse environment.
