**Duties**:Including but not limited to;
- Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for all employees and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
- Enter & update employee information in payroll and accounting systems.
- Verify timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies.
- Address and respond to employee payroll inquiries.
- Prepare and issue payroll tax filings, reports, T4 slips and ROE’s.
- Manage all applicable payroll benefits and deductions.
- Assist with accounting processes including AP, AR, journal entries and reconciliations.
- Support the accounting team with ad-hoc projects and tasks.
**Qualifications**:
- Post secondary education in Accounting, Payroll, or a related field.
- 3+ years of payroll experience required.
- Experience in complex payroll structures including commission-based compensation an asset.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of accounting and payroll principles, regulations, best practices and compliance standards.
- Capable of managing sensitive employee relations matters.
