Key Responsibilities:

- Actively seek opportunities to improve safety, customer service and quality of work
- Ensuring the work area is exceptionally clean, safe and efficient
- Effectively communicating with coworkers and management concerning purchases in relation to our grading system
- Helps facilitate daily expectations to meet targets
- Communicates daily updates on each station to the Yard Manager
- Assist with other production tasks assigned by the Yard Manager
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures such as returns, damages, etc. Understand the relationship between decision-making and profitability. Meet or exceed productivity targets
- Ensuring the scrap metal buying and sorting integrity is maintained at all times as you are a representative of the company
- Assisting customers and co-workers in the sorting and separating of various metals including ferrous and non ferrous
- Reporting all equipment deficiencies, malfunctions and hazards to the site manager immediately
- Purchasing scrap metal materials in accordance based on pricing standards/models established by company policy
- Responsible for the purchasing of non-ferrous scrap metals with the ability to identify, grade, and determine quality of all metals

- Assister dans d'autres tâches de production assignées par le responsable de la cour
- Assurer la conformité aux politiques financières et aux procédures telles que les retours, les dommages, etc. Comprendre la relation entre la prise de décision et la rentabilité. Atteindre ou dépasser les objectifs de productivité
- Veiller à ce que l'intégrité de l'achat et du tri de la ferraille soit maintenue en tout temps, car vous êtes le représentant de l'entreprise
- Aider les clients et les collègues dans le tri et la séparation de divers métaux, y compris les métaux ferreux et non ferreux
- Signaler immédiatement au responsable du site toutes les déficiences, pannes et dangers de l'équipement
- Acheter des matériaux de ferraille conformément aux normes de tarification/modèles établis par la politique de l'entreprise
- Responsable de l'achat de métaux de ferraille non ferreux avec la capacité d'identifier, de classer et de déterminer la qualité de tous les métaux.
- Bilingual (French/English)
- Must have the skills and ability to ensure that essential duties are performed in a timely manner such as serving customers, buying material or maintaining a safe work environment
- Industry experience is an asset
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be punctual, professional and flexible to work one or two Saturdays per month
- Must be comfortable with working outdoors in all types of weather for extended periods of time.
