**Job title: HSSE Coordinator**
**Work Schedule: 14 days on and 14 days off - 12 hours shift daily**
**Location: Gogama, ON (Côté Gold Site)**
**Job Overview**:
The HSSE Coordinator shall provide support to the Site Services Coordinator and crew in the areas related to Health, Safety, Security and Environment. The HSSE Coordinator's main role is to provide HSSE coverage, handle any HSSE inquiries or related incidents, and execute HSSE functions and administration. The HSSE Coordinator ensures that the Project Site operates in a healthy and safe manner and complies with applicable laws and regulations.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Coordinate HSSE-related systems and processes.
- Audit subcontractors' HSSE compliance.
- Review and help in creating JHAs.
- Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Promote behavioural-based safety programs (i.e., job observation and stop-and-correct programs).
- Complete audits to ensure compliance with supervision and field craft.
- Prepare inspection schedules for all committee members.
- Attend weekly meetings and report to FPCL management and the client with statistics, concerns, and incidents.
- Conduct workplace inspections and document them accordingly.
- Document corrective measures and follow up to maintain compliance.
- Assist supervision in problem-solving, addressing ongoing complaints from workers, and enforcing disciplinary measures (document verbal, written, and removal from site).
- Attend project start-up meetings and coordinate site-specific health and safety requirements.
- Verify and copy worker certification and trade qualification documents and maintain training logs.
- Perform other duties as required.
**Education/Qualifications**:
- Diploma, Certificate, or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline is an asset.
- CRSP professional designation preferred.
- NCSO Certificate is an asset.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Good time management skills.
- Valid G Driver’s License.
- Knowledge of Provincial, OHSA, and governing health and safety legislation.

- French not required
